It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a high-ranking European source in Brussels.

As the interlocutor noted, there are still many technical difficulties and questions regarding the schedule for phasing out Russian oil.

“More clarity can be expected on Monday,” the source said.

Earlier, the Financial Times reported that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban considered it counterproductive to continue discussions in the European Union on an oil embargo against Russia without agreement on alternatives.

According to Bloomberg, the European Commission has proposed to the authorities of EU member states to postpone the embargo on Russian oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline.
