Installing 1,500 lighting poles in the central region of Sharjah during the first quarter of this year


The Central Region Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority completed the installation and operation of 1,500 lighting poles in 10 road and street projects during the first quarter of this year within the limits of the Central Region Department. 26.133 million dirhams.

And develop its facilities, and provide security and safety for motorists on the roads, noting that the lighting projects are among the vital projects that the authority continues to implement in all cities and regions of the emirate.

He pointed out that the lighting projects that were implemented within the borders of the central region included the installation of poles of various lengths ranging from 6 meters to 14 meters, according to what is appropriate for each region, in the following areas: Suhaila District 267 columns, Shaabiat Al Rawashd 314 columns, Al Khatm Road 160 columns, and Souq Friday has 220 columns, a safari project 150 columns, the second phase of Tal Al-Za`faran District has 130 columns, Al Madam Industrial Area 75 columns, Maliha Industrial Area 66 columns, Sha`biyat Al Hosn 49 columns, and Shawka Road 60 columns.

He added that the implementation of street lighting projects in the central region is carried out through trained work teams, and all precautionary and preventive measures are provided to preserve their safety and health and the safety of community members using modern equipment according to the best specifications and according to comprehensive studies of the regions and their needs.
