A criminal case has been initiated against the captain of the Voskhod-51 motor ship, which ran aground on the Volga in Tatarstan, on the provision of services for the transportation of passengers who do not meet safety requirements (part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia).
This was reported by the press service of the Central Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Russian Investigative Committee.
On the morning of May 29, it became known that a pleasure boat with 30 people on board ran aground on the Volga River in Tatarstan.
As a result, eight people were injured.
