Parents of the Texas killer: He was calm..good..and lonely, he didn't bother anyone

While the United States is still traumatized by the massacre perpetrated by Salvador Ramos in an elementary school in southern Texas, which killed 19 children and two teachers, last Tuesday, the parents united on one opinion.

After the mother of the killer, Adriana Reyes, claimed in her first statement two days ago that her son was "not violent", saying she was surprised he opened fire in what she described as a "horrific killing spree" at Robb Primary School in Yuvaldi, the father appeared and spoke of the same "calm". Revealing a strained relationship with his son, he said, "He should have killed me instead of hurting people."

A picture of the man spread for the first time days after the crime, and he appeared astonished by his son's action, and that came when he was embracing a visitor on the balcony of his house.

As the 42-year-old father of the same name, Salvador Ramos, explained, burdened with tears and ashamed for what happened, he stressed: "I never expected my son to do something like this."

"He should have just killed me instead of doing something like that to others," he added.

Ramos then apologized for his son's horrific crime, saying, according to "Al Arabiya.net", that his son was calm and did not bother anyone, but was always disturbed, as he put it to the "Daily Beast" newspaper.

Regarding the last days, the father revealed that he had been away from the killer in the past few months, due to the location of his job and the circumstances of the spread of the Corona epidemic.

He also explained that the relationship was strained between them, as the killer refused to speak to his father about a month ago.

He claimed that his son "was a good person" and was bullied at school because of his clothes, which led to him dropping out of school.

He added, "He was a calm person. He did not bother anyone, but was always disturbed by people."

It is noteworthy that the father’s words are somewhat similar to the mother of the killer, when she claimed that her son was alone and did not have many friends, denying reports that there was a toxic relationship between them, but that they had a good relationship.

She claimed that her son "was not violent but lonely".

It is noteworthy that the perpetrator of the massacre on Tuesday, an 18-year-old teenager named Salvador Ramos who had bought two AR-15 assault rifles and bragged about them on social media, hinted that he would commit atrocities before carrying out the deadly attack, in which he was also killed after a confrontation with the police.

Most of the children killed were between 10 and 11 years old, as they were killed in a single classroom of fourth graders just days before the start of summer vacation, becoming one of the deadliest incidents in American school history, since the Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012.
