A 7-month-old child drowned in the bathtub of a family home in the United States.

At the time of the accident, however, it was revealed that the child's mother was manipulating her nails while running her water in the bathtub where her child was.

According to local media such as the New York Post on the 27th local time, Alyssa Carolyn Jimmie, 22, of Miami, Florida, was arrested on the 25th for the murder of a child under the age of 18.

According to her arrest statement, Jimmy went to the garage to apply her manicure while she left her 7-month-old and 3-year-old children in her bathtub.

About 5 or 10 minutes later, Jimmy returned to the bathroom with her children, but her bathtub drain was clogged with a small towel and filled with water, and the 7-month-old lost her consciousness.

He took her 7-month-old child out of her bathtub, started CPR on her, and with the help of her next-door neighbor called 911 and escorted her child to the emergency room.

She said the child briefly regained her heartbeat, but she died three days after arriving at the hospital as she was later diagnosed as brain-dead.

Jimmy told her investigators, "She left the kids in it because she didn't have a bathtub stopper so the water wouldn't fill up," Jimmy told her investigators. seems to have known," he said.

Investigators actually tested the tub and found that the tub fills with water within 10 minutes of closing the drain with a small towel.

The Miami coroner also determined that the child's cause of death was 'accidental drowning'.

However, the coroner stated in the statement that it "failed to provide the care essential to the well-being of the seven-month-old child."

In response, Jimmy appeared in court on the 26th local time, and Judge Mindy Glazer held him responsible by setting a bail of 10,000 dollars (about 12 million won), even though he expressed his condolences over the loss of his family.
