Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during his participation in the Technovest Aviation and Space Technology Festival held in the Azerbaijani capital Baku - and which is being organized for the first time outside Turkey - that his country strongly supports the path of permanent peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Erdogan expressed his happiness and pride in organizing this festival in Azerbaijan, with the participation of guests from the Organization of Turkish States in the festival.

The Organization of Turkish States (formerly the Turkish Council) was established on October 3, 2009, and includes Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, in addition to Hungary and Turkmenistan as an observer.

Regarding relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, Erdogan said, "We have raised our bilateral relations to a level that constitutes a model for the whole world, not just the region," noting that despite the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries 30 years ago, the unity of destiny that unites them extends to the depths of history.

He expressed his great happiness for Azerbaijan to share its joy of Independence Day, which it celebrates on May 28.

He added that we have no ambitions for the lands and sovereignty of anyone, and we do not waste a seed of our soil.

"We are not people brought together by chance, but the sons of a great nation with its history, culture and civilization," he added, noting that what he described as the victory in Qarabakh is the latest example of "the heroic epics of our nation."

He stressed that the Nagorno-Karabakh region "was liberated from captivity after 30 years thanks to the firm stance of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev."

Erdogan also stressed that Ankara strongly supports permanent peace efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia in order to establish security and stability in the region, stressing that Turkey will continue its solidarity and coordination with Azerbaijan in order to ensure the establishment of lasting peace with Armenia in the region, and the consolidation of stability through the establishment of relations based on trust and good Neighborhood, accelerate development.

On September 27, 2020, the Azerbaijani army launched an operation to liberate its occupied lands in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, and after fierce battles that lasted for 44 days, Azerbaijan and Armenia reached on November 10 of the same year a ceasefire agreement stipulating the restoration of Baku control over the occupied provinces .

After the liberation of the Karabakh region, Azerbaijan proposed the idea of ​​concluding a permanent peace agreement with Armenia, which was supported by Turkey, which in turn began talks to normalize relations with Armenia.

Bayraktar pointed out that this spirit aims to achieve complete independence and prosperity in Turkey and Azerbaijan, stressing that the goal of holding the Technovist Festival is to make the whole world see the strength and status of the Turks.

He added that we have to work any longer to open the way for young Turks, and I am confident that the winners of the festival competitions will continue to move forward, and they will be at the front lines in our struggle towards complete independence.

The Azerbaijan Technovest Festival is organized by the Turkish technology team "Waqf T3" and the Azerbaijani Ministries of Digital Development and Transport, and Turkish Industry and Technology with the support of various Turkish companies and institutions.

Technovest is considered the largest festival in the world in the field of aviation and space technology and an important way in Turkey to discover the talents of the participating youth to showcase their technological innovations, such as missiles, robots, drones and green technology.

And in September 2021, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country would transform the Technofest Festival into a global brand by organizing it in friendly and allied countries, starting with Azerbaijan.
