This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Samoan Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa.
"China is ready to strengthen ties with all countries that care about the island states, especially with Australia, New Zealand," the minister said.
Earlier, Wang Yi said that China-Solomon Islands security cooperation does not include plans to build a Chinese military base there.
