The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) called on the Palestinians to mobilize tomorrow, Sunday, to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, to thwart what it described as the plans of the Judaizing occupation and to reject the march of the Israeli flags, which the Israeli leadership said will take place according to the predetermined path.

In a statement today, Saturday, Hamas also called on the masses of the Palestinian people to mobilize throughout Palestine and abroad in defense of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa and the protection of Islamic and Christian holy sites.

Commenting on what was stated on the “What is Hidden is Greater” program, which was broadcast by Al-Jazeera channel yesterday, Friday, the leader of the movement, Mushir al-Masry, said that the leaders of the occupation should reconsider the march of the media before they pay their political future as a price for that, and they should not try the resistance again, as he put it. .

The movement said - in a statement - "Let Sunday be a broad public gift for our people and our nation, in all their places of existence in defense of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa."

It also appealed to the Arab and Islamic nations, government leaders and their people, to consider "Sunday as the holy day, to thwart the plans of the Judaizing occupation, as it is a historical responsibility."

It is noteworthy that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett decided yesterday, Friday, to keep the march of Israeli flags in East Jerusalem on its specified path.

A statement issued by the Office of the Israeli Prime Minister confirmed that the march of flags will not pass from the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, while the Palestinian factions in Gaza announced entering their joint operations room in the event of a permanent meeting to monitor developments.

The flags' march coincides with the anniversary of Israel's occupation of East Jerusalem, according to the Hebrew calendar.

The Israeli police had announced that it had decided to deploy thousands of its members in East Jerusalem to secure the march that would pass through Bab al-Amud - one of the gates of the Old City - and in the alleys of the town, interspersed with the waving of Israeli flags, which in many years has caused confrontations with the Israeli occupation.
