Suzan Stenberg is the defense lawyer for the 19-year-old who, according to the indictment, was holding the murder weapon and she has been appointed from the day after the murder.

In total, she has requested compensation for far too many hours.

But they say she has worked 80 hours since the indictment came to prepare for the main hearing.

Especially not as the 18-year-old's lawyer requests compensation for less than half, 30 hours, during the same time period.

But overall, Rickard Sjöström, who represented the 18-year-old, has also requested excessive compensation in the case, according to the prosecutors.

"Time spent as above appears, despite the size of the investigation, to be too extensive."

Suzan Stenberg has also stayed in a hotel for almost SEK 22,000.

It is more than twice as much as the hotel of the co-accused 18-year-old defender has cost.

Another detail is her parking costs of just over SEK 1,500, which can be compared with the 18-year-old's lawyer parking for just over SEK 300.

Worked 24 hours a day

The prosecutors also cut back on the compensation requested by the plaintiff's counsel.

Metin Ataseven is the plaintiff's assistant for the murdered man's wife, and has requested a total of SEK 661,000 in compensation.

According to his cost report, just going through the preliminary investigation alone took 280 hours.

But the prosecutors have calculated that this means that in that case he worked 24 hours a day since he received the investigation in his hand on 29 April.

"... it is not reasonable to put aside the alleged time, in the event that the district court would accept the correctness"

, the prosecutors write, among other things, in the statement that they are offered to make after the lawyers have submitted their claims.

How Växjö District Court assesses the lawyers' claims for compensation is revealed in connection with the judgment in the case being announced on 3 June.
