“We regret that in another country we see such, sometimes legal, sometimes non-legal, sometimes objective, sometimes subjective attacks on politicians who are supporters of strengthening and developing relations with our country,” Peskov said.

According to him, Moscow wants to hope that there are no political subtexts in the situation with Dodon.

He also urged to observe all the legal rights of the ex-president of Moldova. 

On May 26, a court in Chisinau decided to place Igor Dodon under house arrest for 30 days.

The ex-president of Moldova said that the case against him is a political order of the current head of the republic, Maia Sandu.
