China News Service, Hong Kong, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Li Jiachao, the chief executive-designate of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, will travel to Beijing on the 28th.

While in Beijing, Li Jiachao will accept the central government's appointment as the sixth chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.

  According to the Office of the Chief Executive-designate of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on the 27th, Li Jiachao will go to Beijing on the 28th and return to Hong Kong on the 31st.

Officials accompanying Li Jiachao to Beijing included To Jerry, the personal secretary of the chief executive-designate of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Chen Yuande, the press secretary.

Mrs. Li Jiachao will also accompany.

  Li Jiachao was elected with high votes in the election of the sixth chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on the 8th of this month.

Premier Li Keqiang presided over the seventh plenary meeting of the State Council on the 20th and decided to appoint Li Jiachao as the sixth chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to take office on July 1, 2022.
