In recent years, there have been numerous warning reports that say that Sweden's wild bees are disappearing.

Behind bee deaths are chemical pesticides in agriculture and a landscape where the natural meadow areas disappear.

With this as a background, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency chooses every year to highlight the municipalities that plan and actually do things for the bees to thrive.

205 municipalities have responded to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's survey, and based on the answers, this year's most friendly municipalities have been selected.

Included in the top 20 list this year is Växjö municipality in a shared eleventh place.

Behind the advanced location is the municipality's work to convert grasslands into meadows that benefit bees and other pollinators.

Nybro has been on the top 20 list in recent years, but will fall out this year.
