“The Foreign Ministry expresses its strong condemnation of the seizure by the Iranian armed forces of ships flying the Greek flag,” the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that the Iranian ambassador in Athens protested, Greece regards the detention of ships as an act of piracy, condemns these actions and demands the immediate release of ships and their crews.
Earlier it was reported that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) detained two Greek tankers.
