During the Easter weekend, several violent riots took place around Sweden in connection with the right-wing extremist Dane Rasmus Paludan burning the Koran.

Several people have since been arrested and arrested on suspicion of violent rioting and now the first verdict has been handed down against a man accused of having participated in riots in Rinkeby.

The 34-year-old man has been sentenced to six months in prison for violent rioting and attempted violence against an official.

According to the indictment, the man must have been the instigator or leader of a crowd that intended to use force against the police.

The 34-year-old is said to have thrown objects at the police, kicked at police vehicles and also urged others in the crowd to participate in the riot.

He is also said to have handed out stones to other people in order to throw at police and police vehicles.
