Early voting started on the second day of the 6.1 local election from 6 o'clock an hour ago.

The voter turnout yesterday (27th) was 10.2%, which was higher than the local election four years ago.

After the general voter voting closes at 6 pm, people with COVID-19 can vote from 6:30 pm.

Early voting for the June 1st local election started for the second day following yesterday.



Voting, which started at 6 in the morning, ends at 6 in the evening, and those infected with COVID-19 can vote at general polling places from 6:30 to 8 PM.



Earlier, yesterday, the first day of early voting for local elections, the turnout was counted at 10.2%.



It was 1.4 percentage points higher than the early turnout on the first day of the 6.13 local election four years ago.



The region with the highest voter turnout was Jeonnam with 17.3%, followed by Gangwon and Jeonbuk.



Most of the main opposition candidates also finished voting yesterday.



In the Seoul mayoral election, Democratic Party candidate Song Young-gil cast his vote in Yongsan-gu, where his presidential office is located, and People's Power candidate Oh Se-hoon cast his vote in Gwangjin-gu, where his home is located

Democratic Party candidate Kim Dong-yeon, who served as Gyeonggi governor, finished voting in Suwon, and People's Strength candidate Kim Eun-hye finished voting in Seongnam, respectively.



Democratic Party candidate Jae-myung Lee, who ran for the National Assembly by-election in Gyeyang, Incheon, voted in advance in the constituency, and People's Strength candidate Yoon Hyung-sun plans to vote today along with People's Strength Representative Lee Jun-seok, who registered as his campaigner today.



President Yoon Seok-yeol and his wife, Kim Kun-hee, visited a polling place near the Yongsan Presidential Office yesterday afternoon to vote.
