North Korea claims that the number of new fever patients suspected of being infected with COVID-19 has reached 100,000 for the sixth consecutive day.

The Korean Central News Agency, citing the National Emergency Response Command, said that from 6 p.m. on the 25th to 6 p.m. yesterday, there were 10,460 new cases of fever across the country.

The death toll increased by one, bringing the total number of deaths to 69 and the fatality rate to 0.002%.

Of the 3,277,850 patients with fever since the end of last month, 92.871% and 3,37,690 people have recovered completely, and 7.127%, or 234,90 people, are receiving treatment.

The Rodong Sinmun asserted that "the nationwide transmission situation has been gradually suppressed and is maintaining a stable state in all regions," and that the maximum emergency quarantine system was operated "a phenomenal reality showing a positive trend in less than ten days."

However, the general assessment of domestic experts is that it is difficult to believe North Korea's announcement as it is due to the limitations of COVID-19 testing capabilities.
