China News Service, May 26. According to Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Leisure and Cultural Affairs Department announced that the upcoming Hong Kong popular men's group MIRROR concert will be the first to try out the real-name system for popular concerts in the Red Pavilion.

The DH will provide all feasible assistance and cooperation to the organiser on ticket sales and admission arrangements, and appeal to the public with tickets to arrive at the Hong Kong Coliseum early.

The popular Hong Kong boy group MIRROR will hold 10 concerts at the end of July. Tickets are not on sale publicly, and two rounds of priority bookings have set off an upsurge.

MIRROR's official social media announced on the 25th that after discussions with the LCSD, it was decided that the two concerts in July and August will be sold under the real-name system.

The Acting Secretary for Home Affairs of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Mr Chan Chik Chi, said on his social networking page that the LCSD has been actively responding to the public's demands to combat ticket speculation, and is committed to discussing with the industry. Now that the URBTIX ticketing system can support the real-name system, and the industry voluntarily participates, it fully cooperates , the real-name system will be piloted for the first time in relevant concerts.

He believes that the real-name system will reduce ticket speculation and high-priced purchases, protect public interests, ensure that music fans have a fair chance to buy tickets, and enable the performing arts industry to develop more healthily and vigorously.

The Performance Industry Association stated that it is temporarily unable to know the specific operation of the "real-name system" of relevant institutions, and whether it can prevent ticket speculation, the effect remains to be seen.

The association reiterates that the nature and market response of each performance project are different, and it is not appropriate to implement the "real-name system" across the board, which may have a serious negative impact on the performance industry, which needs time to recover.

The Performance Industry Association reminds consumers to be careful to protect personal privacy, so as not to give intermediaries to fish in troubled waters without proper or even supervision, which will ultimately damage consumers.

The association also emphasizes that only by regulating "scalpers" through legislation and criminalizing speculating activities can they be deterred and the most effective way to combat the symptoms and root causes of the "scalpers", and calls on the SAR government to make decisive decisions and implement them.

The DAB stated that, as far as they know, about 30% of the tickets for the first 10 concerts will be on sale. The real-name system is adopted. Only refunds are allowed, and no transfers are allowed to avoid loopholes. Determine if there is any room for improvement.
