Earlier, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that Ukrainian servicemen who had hidden or lagged behind during the surrender were detained at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

On May 20, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Armed Forces had completely liberated the territory of the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol. 

In total, 2,439 Ukrainian military and Azov militants laid down their arms and surrendered.
