Zelensky: I will only negotiate with Putin himself

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that he wishes not to give up any part of Ukraine's territory in exchange for peace, and has stated that he is also ready for dialogue if Russia withdraws to the borders it had before the start of the war in February.

But he said that he would only engage in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin himself.

"Ukraine will fight until it regains all its lands," Zelensky said in Ukrainian during an event organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in Davos on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian president made the remarks while being digitally connected to a discussion on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.

"I can only speak with President Putin directly, not with intermediaries," he added.

He pointed out that Russia is not currently negotiating seriously.
