The National Agency for Education confirms via email to SVT Nyheter Halland that they have initiated the investigation due to the information that has emerged in the newspaper Dagens Nyheter's review of the family in Halland.

The family, who had been missing for two months, were located on Sunday where the family's four children were taken into care according to LVU.

The family has previously been fined as the children have not been to school and thus have not followed compulsory schooling in Sweden.

The municipality: "Good that it is investigated"

Hanna Netterberg, chair of the Preschool and Compulsory School Board, has not yet received the message from the Swedish Schools Inspectorate, but welcomes the investigation.

- When something as big as this happens, we of course look more closely at how we can improve, she says.

The discussions within the committee have, among other things, been about how they can improve contacts with authorities and their internal work.

- It is good that it is being investigated now, it is always possible to ensure quality, says Hanna Netterberg.
