A 25-year-old man was sentenced on Tuesday by the Annecy Criminal Court to five years in prison for pimping, acts committed in 2020 and 2021. The defendant acted from the prison of Bonneville (Haute-Savoie) where he was then incarcerated.

Three other men, aged 20 to 29, whom the first defendant knew, also appeared.

The four individuals were initially prosecuted for acts of aggravated pimping, sometimes on minors and by a plurality of authors, for three of them in legal recidivism.

Prostitution managed from his cell

“You have totally contradictory statements”, compared to those made by a young adult woman, a civil party to the trial, noted at the hearing the president of the court, Valentine De Montgolfier, addressing the defendant.

"She says you have been managing her prostitution since detention."

According to the magistrate, a small document which "allowed to manage accounts on the site Sexemodel" was thus found in the prisoner's cell.

During the hearing, the defendant disputed or said he had forgotten the elements reported by the president.

He said, in another file, having met the young adult before being placed in detention.

“Over time, I fell in love with her.

She was already a prostitute when we met.

I had no choice but to accept it”.

According to the young woman, her prostitution activity carried out under the control of the defendant would have brought in €7,000.

Another defendant, who had had sexual relations with a minor, was sentenced to two years in prison, the facts being reclassified as corruption of a minor.

Two other men, including the cousin of the main defendant, were acquitted by the court.
