Now, citizens will have to pay a fine in the amount of 30,000 to 40,000 rubles for violating the ban on burning dry grass and other forest combustible materials, RIA Novosti reports.

Prior to this, the fine for citizens ranged from 3 to 4 thousand rubles.

Officials in the event of bringing to administrative responsibility will be required to pay from 30 to 50 thousand rubles, and legal entities - from 300 to 500 thousand rubles.

The tightening of measures of administrative responsibility is due to the fact that fallen grass is one of the main causes of fires.
