All parties agreed in the decision on vaccination requirements.

In addition to new employees, the decision also applies to those who are already employed.

The requirement came into force from 1 January, but now the message comes that the requirement can be abolished, at least for those who are already employed.

The regional board is expected to decide on Monday.

- Due to the requirement for vaccination against covid-19 for employees, our patients have been able to be safe and have not had to worry when they have come to the healthcare system.

Region Dalarna's employees also have one of the highest vaccination rates in regional Sweden, says Ulf Berg (M) in a press release.

- When covid-19 is no longer considered a generally dangerous disease, and vaccination does not reduce the risk of infecting others, the decision on vaccination requirements needs to be reconsidered, says Elin Norén (S), second vice chairman of the regional board.

The care association: Wants it to be abolished completely

More than 100 appeals against the decision were received by the Administrative Court in Falun, but the court rejected the appeals and said that the requirement for a vaccination certificate could not be equated with someone being forced to perform a physical procedure.

According to the proposal, the requirement will continue to apply to temporary staff, new employees and trainees.

The care association has been strongly critical of the requirement since the start and would rather see the requirement removed in all forms of employment.

- We would rather see it abolished completely, as it makes it more difficult to hire staff, says Marion Vaeggemose, chairman of the care association in Dalarna.
