According to the report, junior high school students have the highest proportion of over-reliance on mobile phones, reaching 41%.
Followed by high school students (36.4%), primary school students (31.6%).
Teenagers who rely on mobile phones mainly open videos (98.5%), games (96.7%), and instant messaging programs (96.5%).
According to reports, the proportion of teenagers who are overly dependent on mobile phones remained at around 30% in the years before 2019, and soared to 35.8% in 2020 when the new crown epidemic broke out, and further climbed in 2021.
The report also pointed out that suicide has been the leading cause of death for people aged 9 to 24 for nearly 10 years.
In 2020, 957 people in this age group died by suicide.
