He pointed out that the UAE has achieved leading positions in the indicators of competitiveness in the energy sector, after it ranked first globally in the indicators of the percentage of electricity delivery to the population, and the percentage of access to electricity in terms of ease of procedures, time and cost, and ranked first in the Arab world and seventh globally in the quality of road infrastructure index. He stressed that the road network owned by the UAE, if not the first in the world, comes among the top three countries in the world in terms of maintenance and existing services.

The minister talked about the state's leadership in the energy and infrastructure sectors, where he explained that 10 billion dirhams have been spent on infrastructure projects in the country during the past five years, which made the UAE the first globally in the percentage of access to electricity in terms of ease of procedures, time and cost, as well as The first in the world in the proportion of electricity delivery to the population, in addition to being the first in the Arab world and the 12th globally in the infrastructure index, revealing a new project that is being worked on for the sustainability of infrastructure, aiming to reach a sustainability rate of 100% in all federal assets and facilities by 2031.

He said: "All the initiatives recently adopted by the ministry aim to consolidate the sustainability approach, in accordance with an approach that aligns with the federal government's directions, towards achieving sustainable development and preserving the environment in various fields, which contributed to the ministry's achievement of giant leaps in the number of completed sustainability projects, Which rose from 50 projects in 2008 to 1812 projects during the period between 2019 to 2022.”

He added: "With regard to the housing support to be provided by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program during the next five years, about 11 billion and 500 million dirhams have been allocated as value for housing aid decisions, from which about 13,000 citizen families are scheduled to benefit."

The minister presented some numbers and statistics related to the increase and growth of federal infrastructure assets in the country during the period between 2017-2021, which showed a growth in the number of new buildings.

With regard to the ministry's projects in implementing dams, statistics indicated that the ministry completed its tasks in implementing 44 dams and water facilities during the same period, which contributed to enhancing the absorptive capacity of water facilities in the country with a growth rate of 26%.
