The Foreign Ministers will today have the task of clearing the ground for the two summits scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

The first will be devoted to the humanitarian situation, which is increasingly worrying due to the consequences for the continent of several crises: health, climate, food and security.

A donors' conference should make it possible to mobilize funds, in particular for refugees and displaced persons, ie more than 30 million people.

The second will be much more political, around two issues.

First, the fight against terrorism.

Interventions by Abdelmajid Tebboune and Paul Biya, who currently chair AU bodies on the subject, are planned.

Urgent measures

” and “

support actions

On the question of unconstitutional changes of power, understanding the coups d'etat, which have followed one another for two years, it is the Sierra Leonean Julius Maada Bio who will speak.

Malabo is counting on the presence of around twenty African presidents.

The current AU President Macky Sall will be there, after a detour by Angola.

Joao Lourenço must also speak on Saturday.

Felix Tshisekedi or Mahamat Idriss Déby are among the expected leaders.
