It was the day after the team's 4-1 loss against Värnamo that the management got enough - they chose to end the collaboration with Jörgen Lennartsson.
- I have known Jörgen for a long time, so I think it is a tough decision to make.
But it feels like it is the best decision for Helsingborgs IF, says Andreas Granqvist.
Four coaches in three years: "Not optimal"
Per-Ola Ljung, Henrik Larsson, Olof Mellberg and most recently Jörgen Lennartsson.
They are the coaching staff for HIF since 2019.
- Of course it is not optimal.
But if you think about these four coaches, there are two who have resigned themselves - so it's probably a bit true with modification, says Andreas Granqvist.
He is also reviewing his own role in the club.
- I'm probably most self-critical, he says.
