Employees who retired in less than 10 years despite being hired as "general employment" or so-called "career bureaucrats" of national civil servants will be in the 7 years from 2013, when the current examination system was established, to 2nd year of Reiwa. According to a survey by the National Personnel Authority, it increased by more than 40%.

The National Personnel Authority has investigated and announced the status of retirement for the first time in response to the successive retirement of young employees hired as "general staff", so-called "career bureaucrats" of national civil servants.

According to this, the number of employees who retired less than 10 years after being hired was 76 in 2013 when hiring under the current examination system started, but it became 109 in Reiwa 2 and 7 years. The rate increased by 43.4%.

Of these, the number of employees who retired in less than 5 years increased by 77.4% from 31 to 55, and the number of employees who retired in less than 3 years increased by 78.6% from 14 to 25. The shorter the number of years, the more likely it is that the number of retirees will increase.

The National Personnel Authority says, "Securing human resources is an urgent issue, and we would like to proceed with analysis by interviewing retired employees about the reasons and considering countermeasures."
