The fire in the Södra hospital area in Ängelholm just over three months ago posed a major logistical challenge for several businesses, including LSS housing, dementia housing Solängen and two preschools.
In the emergency phase, 39 elderly people were evacuated to the sports hall at Södra utmarken's school.
Later, they could temporarily live at Villa Havsglimt in Laholm, but there they can only stay until the last of August.
Decisions will be made in June
The municipal board's working committee is now proposing that all the elderly should move to Villa Gåsen in Helsingborg in Ramlösa, as the planned new accommodation at Fridhem in Ängelholm will not be ready for occupancy until November next year.
- It is a difficult situation for those involved, but here we have found a good solution, says Robin Holmberg (M), chairman of the municipal board in a press release.
The final decision will be made by the municipal board on June 8.
