A 50-year-old motorist fell from a bridge on Tuesday in Villemagne-l'Argentière (Hérault), firefighters report.

The victim left the road and fell into a stream several meters below.

The 50-year-old was taken care of by the emergency services.

Luckily, the motorist was transported by the emergency services of the Trois Vallées clinic only in "relative emergency", but she is "shocked", report the firefighters.

An intervention team dedicated to chemical risks has also been hired to assess possible pollution of the river, the Marre.

Samples were taken on Tuesday and, according to initial findings, there is no risk.
