US will militarily defend Taiwan in case of invasion by China, Biden warns

Since his arrival in Asia, US President Joe Biden has been firing red balls at China.

At the heart of this pass of arms, the island of Taiwan, claimed by Beijing but protected by the United States via a defense agreement.

During a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Monday, Joe Biden warned that the United States would defend Taiwan militarily in the event of an invasion of the island, believing that China is flirting with danger.

Prevent the Chinese ogre from swallowing Taiwan

Wang Wenbin, spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded scathingly.

"No one should underestimate the Chinese people's firm resolve and powerful ability to uphold national sovereignty. Do not oppose the 1.4 billion Chinese people," he said.

Japan and the United States form a common front against China, ensuring that they closely monitor Chinese military activities in the area as well as joint exercises carried out by Chinese and Russian troops.

Unlike Ukraine, where American soldiers do not officially intervene, the United States would therefore be ready to take up arms to prevent the Chinese ogre from swallowing Taiwan.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is currently in Beijing, 17 years after the last visit.

She must go to Xinjiang, where China is accused of carrying out a fierce repression against the Uyghur ethnic group.
