In the clip, you hear regional councilor Jimmy Ekström (L), explain how he sees the risk that the Liberals will leave the regional council.

The Liberals have been one of six parties in the governing coalition in the Jönköping County Region during the last term of office, where increased state subsidies have enabled large investments in health care.

Ahead of the election this autumn, the Liberals are focusing on initiatives for young and old.

It wants to increase the preventive work against mental illness among young people, among other things by investing in increased health checks for children at health centers.

Today, health checks are done for up to five years and the Liberals want to raise that age limit.

It is unclear how the collaboration will be

They also want to introduce so-called elderly clinics at the health centers to improve accessibility for the elderly and to set up a fast track in the emergency room for the elderly, where they will be taken care of more quickly.

If you stay - do you want to sit in the coalition even after the election?

- We leave it open.

We have been in an alliance before and are now in a coalition.

Voters must first have their say, then there will be a negotiation after the election which cooperation to sit in, says Jimmy Ekström (L), regional councilor.
