In an attempt to challenge the control of the American electronics company “Apple” on the smart watch market through the “Apple Watch” groups, the American technology company “Google” revealed the development of a smart watch capable of communicating with devices Smartphones that run on the Android operating system, as Apple watches do with their iPhone smartphones.

The Pixel watch, which was unveiled during the Google I/O developer conference last week, is scheduled to be launched in the market during the third quarter of this year.

While Google did not reveal the exact price for it, it said it would be "luxury".

Although there have been countless smart watches running the Android operating system in recent years, the Apple Watch has - since its first launch in 2015 - been the gold standard in this market as a result of its easy communication with smartphones.

In contrast, the Wear OS developed by Google for smartwatches is still struggling to deliver smooth performance to users who constantly complain about its poor performance.

The Pixel Watch will be the first smartwatch that Google develops on its own, both internally and externally, according to Rick Osterloh, head of devices at Google.

As with the Apple Watch, the user's physical condition monitoring functions will be a focus of the Pixel Watch.

In 2019, Google bought FitBit, a digital fitness technology company, and this company's technology will be used in the new watch.

The Google smart watch can also be used to make payments for purchases remotely, as is the case with the Apple Watch.

One of the unique features of the Pixel Watch is the navigation service without the need to connect to a smartphone, as it can be used as a navigation device while walking or cycling.

At the same time, the launch of the Pixel Watch confirms Google's adoption of the economic model of its competitor, Apple, by offering an integrated group with devices with various functions such as the Pixel smartphone and the Pixel Watch smart watch, as well as the development of the Pixel family of tablets.
