A man died in his car on fire on Tuesday in Paulhan (Hérault), say the firefighters.

When help arrived, the driver, who had hit a plane tree, was trapped inside the vehicle.

Despite their rapid intervention, the emergency services discovered his body, charred, in the passenger compartment of the car.

The Hérault firefighters specify that the shock with the plane tree was "very violent": the tree was "lying" when help arrived on the road where the tragedy took place.

Only the victim's vehicle was involved in this accident.
