The Turkish government published the list on Tuesday.

There, the government writes that since 2017 they have requested that Sweden release people connected to the PKK / PYD and Gülen movements without receiving any positive response from Sweden.

- Turkey demands that Sweden break contact with Syrian Kurdish YPG.

It comes from being annoyed at the Swedish government's open and close contacts with groups and seizing the opportunity with the NATO application.

It is a situation where Sweden needs Turkey and where they understand their value and take advantage of the situation, says SVT's Turkey correspondent Tomas Thorén.

The country also demands that Sweden stop financing terrorism.

According to Turkey, Sweden has announced that it provides the PKK / PYD with 376 million dollars.

This is despite the fact that the PKK is considered a terrorist organization by 38 countries - including NATO, EU countries and Sweden.

- Even though Sweden has branded the PKK a terrorist, Turkey does not think that it complies with it in practice.

Ankara believes that Sweden is looking between the fingers with the PKK's activities in Sweden, says Tomas Thorén.

Turkey also writes that Sweden has provided the PKK / PYD with weapons.

Raises gun sanctions

The government also demands that Sweden lift its arms sanctions against Turkey.

Turkey also writes that they expect Sweden to cooperate at a higher level in the fight against terrorism.

The country therefore expects Sweden to provide concrete guarantees regarding Turkey's security.

Previously, there has been information about lists of people in Sweden that Turkey demands be extradited.

But that no such names are presented now does not surprise Tomas Thorén.

- I interpret it as not completely closing the door for Sweden.

The demands that are coming now are difficult to digest, but getting people extradited would have been impossible.

Sweden's Foreign Minister Ann Linde states that a number of diplomatic efforts are underway and refrains from commenting on this further.
