The American white moth is an invasive alien species under key control and is included in the list of China's forestry and imported phytosanitary pests.
According to monitoring, at present, American white moth has occurred in 611 county-level administrative regions in 14 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China to varying degrees, and the risk of spread is relatively high.
In 2021, the American white moth will break out in many places in North China, causing widespread concern in the society.
On the 18th, nine departments including the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Civil Aviation Administration of China jointly issued a notice to deploy and strengthen the prevention and control of white moth.
The notice requires that we must stick to the bottom line of epidemic prevention and control, comprehensively strengthen the prevention and control of white moths in the United States, avoid major disasters and disturbing incidents, and ensure the ecological safety of key areas, especially the capital.
Strengthen departmental collaboration. Under the unified deployment of local governments, forestry and grass, agriculture and rural areas, housing and urban-rural construction (landscaping), transportation, water conservancy, railways and other departments should do a good job in prevention and control according to the division of responsibilities.
Adhere to scientific management, highlight the precise prevention and control of larvae in the screen period, pay close attention to the occurrence of the second and third generations, and strengthen the integration of inspection and prevention and emergency response.
Strengthen epidemic monitoring and quarantine supervision, improve emergency plans, and improve the ability to respond to emergencies.
