His vital prognosis is still engaged.
The other victim, aged 76, was hit in the stomach and elbow.
The septuagenarian was able to take refuge in a store while waiting for the arrival of help and the police.
His days are not in danger.
The perpetrator of the attack was arrested shortly after the incident, in the Gorge de Loup district (Lyon 9), and placed in police custody.
An investigation was opened to determine if it was a settling of accounts or a random attack.
