A 10-story building collapsed on the 23rd (local time) in the city of Abadan, Iran.

At least five people died in the accident and more than 80 were buried in the rubble.

Desperate citizens were also caught trying to clean up the wreckage together.



The building was partly under construction for residential and commercial use.

It was also confirmed that it was a building that received a safety warning a few months before the accident.



The exact cause of the collapse is not yet known, but the families of the victims or missing in the accident sat down, crying, and angry citizens protested.

As a result, a situation where riot police were deployed was also captured.



Authorities are first arresting the owner of the building and the construction worker and are investigating the cause of the accident.
