Yemeni sources expected that Jordan's consultations regarding the opening of crossings and roads in Taiz and other Yemeni governorates would start within the next few hours, amid a popular and official movement to demand the speedy opening of humanitarian corridors in implementation of the terms of the UN armistice, which is about to expire its first period estimated in two months.

Preparations for the start of the consultations coincided with the continuation of vigils from the residents of the city of Taiz demanding an end to the Houthi siege on the city, in addition to electronic and human rights campaigns on social media sites for the same purpose.

Yemeni activists and media professionals launched the hashtag #Lift_the_siege_of_Taiz, with the participation of 22 Yemeni human rights organizations, in which they called on the international community and the United Nations and American envoys to pressure the Houthi militias to lift the siege imposed by the militias on the city of Taiz for years.

Meanwhile, the Association of Mothers of Abductees said that it had documented the abduction of at least 417 Yemenis on the roads linking Taiz with other governorates, during the past six years.

The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, has expanded the consultation processes with various Yemeni sectors. During the past two days, he held consultations in Amman with a variety of Yemeni peace activists to consult on the framework of the multi-track peace process.

In recent consultations, the importance of lifting restrictions on the freedom of movement of civilians, improving access to basic services and goods, and focusing on removing mines from roads and crossings, was emphasized, as they pose a real threat to the lives of civilians, including children and women.

The UN envoy indicated that the coming weeks will witness consultations with various Yemeni groups, including economic experts, civil society and political parties.

Regarding the Houthi daily violations of the armistice, the militias bombed several areas in Marib, with missiles and drones, as a Houthi booby-trapped march was brought down in the Mala’a area, south of the governorate.

And the media center of the Yemeni army announced that it had monitored 80 violations of the armistice committed by the militias on various fighting fronts.

In Sanaa, militias stormed the house of a brigadier general in the Yemeni army called "Ahmed al-Sayh" just a week after confiscating land belonging to his brother, the tribal sheikh, "Manea' al-Sih".

And local sources in the capital stated that the militias have expelled the women and children from the house located in the Al-Thawra neighborhood in the capital, and have arrested others belonging to the Al-Sayh family, against the background of his support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government.

On the other hand, the Saudi project to clear mines in Yemen "Masam" seized 1,339 mines planted by militias in various regions of Yemen, during the third week of May.

The project stated in a statement that this brings the number of mines cleared so far in May to 3,538, bringing the number of mines cleared since the beginning of the "Masam" project to 339,431 mines, which were randomly planted by the Houthi militias in separate areas.
