Historical cradle of the sausage pancake, Ille-et-Vilaine wants to recover its precious title.

On Thursday, on the occasion of the tournament celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Entente Sportive Saint-Germain/Montours football club near Fougères will try to break the world record for the largest sausage pancake, as reported by

Ouest- France

.

This record was set in 2019 on the sidelines of the Lohéac rallycross south-west of Rennes with a 35-meter long sausage cake.

But on June 30, 2021, on the occasion of the passage of the Tour de France, the town of Changé in Mayenne came to steal the title from Brittany with a 53-meter-long sausage cake.

On Thursday, volunteers from the Entente Sportive Saint-Germain/Montours football club hope to do even better and reach 60 meters.

Still on record, the largest Breton flag in the world will also be displayed on the lawn for the occasion.
