“In connection with publications in some media regarding the lack of reagents for analysis, we inform you that the information is not true,” the ministry said.

According to the Ministry of Health, the state register contains information on 4,963 medical devices for in vitro diagnostics, including 2,575 Russian-made medical devices.

The ministry added that Roszdravnadzor carries out weekly monitoring of defects in medical devices based on information provided by medical organizations in the Russian regions. 

“Information about the defectiveness of medical devices for in vitro diagnostics was not declared by medical organizations,” the Ministry of Health added.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor reported that Russia also has a sufficient number of reagent kits for the detection of monkeypox virus.
