According to RIA Novosti, the document will give the right to citizens of Russia and South Ossetia to obtain a passport of a neighboring country without having to renounce their own citizenship.
It is expected that the document will be considered at a meeting of the Federation Council on May 25.
In August 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the signing of an agreement with South Ossetia to resolve issues of dual citizenship.
