In Kungsör, the turnover of home care staff is highest among all the county's municipalities.

In Kungsör, the elderly meet 19 people in the home care service over a two-week period, according to 2021 statistics from Kolada.

For increased security and more individualized care, the Riksdag has said yes to the Government's proposal to introduce a requirement to offer a permanent care contact within the home care service from 1 July this year.

A great security

In Kungsör, they are already working to offer a permanent contact for the elderly in the home care service.

The care assistant Jesper Söderlund is the contact person for four people and has been for the past four years.

- It is a great security for them, I think, because there is a high turnover of staff, he says.

Thrives with a contact person

Ingvar Andersson, who also lives in the sheltered housing Misteln, is satisfied without a contact person, despite a high staff turnover.

- It does not matter to me.

It's perfect and I have all the help you can get, he says.

The clip also tells 85-year-old Georg Hirtl what he thinks about having a permanent care contact.
