It was the first of October last year that the home care service in Örebro reported the woman missing.

She was seen alive the day before and must then have been in the company of the now accused man.

They knew each other, but were not related.

- The indictment is based on a comprehensive survey of women's and men's lives.

I mean that the motif image is twofold.

There is partly a financial motive and partly a motive that is about stress in the 46-year-old that was triggered by the woman reporting the man for crime a few weeks before the murder, says chamber prosecutor Therese Johansson who is the head of the preliminary investigation in a press release.

Rough embezzlement

The man is also charged with gross embezzlement comprising approximately SEK 483,000 during the years 2019–2021. According to the indictment, he must have transferred money from the woman's account to the sitting area and bought property for her money, but kept the things himself.

 - There is some technical evidence, but otherwise it is an indication evidence target.

In the suspect's car, the police have found a pair of leather gloves that also bear traces of the woman's DNA.

The pediatrician has suffered a number of injuries to the body in close proximity to the time of death, says Therese Johansson.

The suspect has denied the crime throughout the preliminary investigation.

He was arrested on October 1 and has since been detained.
