President Yoon Seok-yeol is currently attending a high-level videoconference of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF).

The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework is a multilateral forum to discuss global supply chains, digital economy, carbon decarbonization, etc., launched by the United States, and Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore participate as founding members.

President Yoon is making his seventh speech, and he emphasized that he should participate in the process of making rules related to economic and trade in a meeting with reporters this morning (23rd).

[Yoon Seok-yeol/President: This is the process of making a wide range of rules related to economic and trade in the Indo-Pacific region.

If we are left out, the national interest will also suffer a lot.]

President Yoon and President Biden visited the Aerospace Operations Headquarters at the US Air Force Base in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, on their last visit to Korea yesterday.

The Aerospace Operations Headquarters, located in an underground bunker, is the highest-level commanding unit of the ROK and US Air Forces that command and control aerospace operations on the Korean Peninsula.

Among the South Korean three-axis systems that respond to North Korea's nuclear and missile threats, the executive headquarters that oversees the operations of the kill chain and South Korean missile defense systems are also included in it.

Entering the Operations Coordination Office, President Biden emphasized the importance of 'deterrence against North Korea' once again, saying that the sacrificed alliance between the two countries has remained strong for 70 years.

President Yoon explained the meaning of the visit as a place that symbolizes the ROK-U.S. alliance.

This is the first time that the President of the United States has personally visited the Aerospace Operations Headquarters, and it is interpreted as an intention to show off a strong combined defense posture at the level of the leaders of the United States and South Korea.
