Middle class in and around major cities

- This is the right country.

People who are in the middle of life, in the middle of the income scale.

Many of them are not only in the middle of the income scale but also in the middle ideologically.

They just want things to work and do not have a strong heart in any direction.

Middle-income earners make up about 35 percent of the electorate and this group is important to win if you want to bring about a change of government.

One reason why the Social Democrats have been able to be the largest party for so long is that they have managed to adapt to this group, which both contributes to and takes part in a welfare society.

Second generation immigrants

- It is a very diverse group and makes up about 20 percent of the population, but the ones most often thought of are second-generation overseas immigrants.

They are children of parents who came here during a time when the Social Democrats were very strong.

The second generation is considerably more established than the first and has been integrated through language, education, work and career.

They are the new class travelers and stand a little further to the right than their parent generation.

S seems to be losing control of the group and perhaps other parties can break the dominance that exists for voting on the left?

Entrepreneurs

- Stereotypically, entrepreneurs are a stronghold for the Moderates.

The larger the company you have, the more likely you are to vote for M.

Highly calculated, about 7-8 percent of the gainfully employed are entrepreneurs, but those who have larger companies are significantly fewer.

Historically, people are interested in paying less tax and a state that invests in as little as possible.

But it's not just about association politics anymore, but a lot about cultural values with issues related to multiculturalism and migration.

Then a more right-wing conservative ideology applies, which means that M loses, especially to the Sweden Democrats.

They are now clearly better off with entrepreneurs than in other groups and are the obvious second largest party - it is votes that M wants to win back.

Students

- Tomorrow's decision makers.

They are young and nowadays usually women.

It creates a large value gap between people who have long educations and not and especially among young people, there is also a gap between men and women.

It is somewhere between 5-10 percent of the voters who are currently studying, but there is a political socialization in the educations you go to that remain.

The long university educations often have the effect of becoming more libertarian, internationalist and globalist.

18-29-year-olds are also the only group where the climate is perceived as the most important issue, and it is stronger among women.

The Green Party cannot afford to lose control of student voters in university towns such as Lund, Uppsala and Umeå.

They need to increase there to be sure of continued confidence in the Riksdag.

Rural residents

- Basic living conditions and living conditions are very different from those who live closer to the cities.

And that's exactly how they want it to be.

But you demand your right to good access to public services and to be able to live as you want without too many guidelines from Stockholm or Brussels.

Everyone wants to win the favor of the rural population in this election - even though they are not more than before or have changed as a group in some dramatic way.

The Center Party has many strongholds in clean countryside that they do not want to give up.

If you want to find an individual issue where it matters where you live, it is fuel tax but also such things as wind power and wolf hunting that become symbolic issues, even for people who may not live in the country.
