The former accountant of a real estate agency in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne (Savoie) was sentenced for breach of trust on Friday by the Albertville criminal court.

She was accused of having embezzled 2.3 million euros from her employer and 62 condominiums between 2015 and 2018, reports

Money in lover's account

The defendant was sentenced to four years in prison, including three years suspended.

She admitted the facts and explained that she had been under the influence of her ex-lover.

He was also found guilty and sentenced to four years in prison, two of which were suspended.

Prosecuted for the offense of concealment, five other people involved in this case were given suspended prison sentences.
