Three men and a woman, suspected of being involved in drug trafficking, will be tried on June 22, before the criminal court of Montpellier (Hérault), after investigations launched several months ago by the gendarmes of Castelnau- the-Lez.

On May 14, the gendarmes arrested the three men in a convoy made up of three cars, one of which was loaded with 32 kg of cannabis bales.

The investigators, learning that they were going to Spain, intercepted them just after the border.

A woman was arrested later in the day.

According to the information communicated by the gendarmes of the Hérault, the quartet is accused of having multiplied the round trips for several months and sold the goods on Montpellier and its surroundings.

Placed in police custody for 96 hours, the suspects refuted the facts.

Pending their trial, the three men were placed in pre-trial detention, and the woman under judicial control.
