A young man was arrested Tuesday in his apartment in Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales) after the murder of a clerk.

He was brought to the courthouse on Sunday, indicted and then remanded in custody, reports

The 54-year-old victim was found dead by a neighbor on February 5 in her new home in Perpignan.

No notable antagonisms

No enemies were known to him.

Numerous wounds, corresponding to stab wounds, were observed on his body.

During his hearing, the arrested allegedly confessed to the facts.

The vagueness remains, relating to certain aspects of the case, in particular the motive for this deadly violence.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect would have come into contact via the Internet with the victim, exercising the profession of clerk.

Two other men were also to be referred.

One for having used the victim's bank card and the other for an indirect participation in the facts.
