A 57-year-old man was the victim of a violent attack at the end of the afternoon this Friday in the park of the Château d'Épône (Yvelines).

Witnesses who alerted the police said that the fifty-year-old had been attacked by two individuals.

They sprayed him with tear gas and beat him with sticks.

They then took his mobile phone, his car keys and his wallet, says Actu 78.

Decisive witnesses

The two attackers then fled to a wood near the park.

The witnesses gave their description.

Officers from the multi-municipal police soon after spotted two young men corresponding to the description given a few hundred meters from the scene of the attack.

They had two telephones on them.

Before being taken to the hospital, the victim out of danger recognized a device as his.

Witnesses also named the two individuals.

The rest of the stolen personal effects, on the other hand, vanished.
